There are many ways you can use the Chronicon Universe, the possibilities are endless. Below are a few ideas and rules.

The Rules

If you are interested in using the Chronicon Universe, there are a few rules:

The Basics

  • Use the list of Solar Systems, there is a map of the Chronicon Universe below the list. If you'd like to create a solar system, look for one on Wikipedia. Please note: At the moment we need 2 solar systems with habitable planets. To claim a solar system with a habitable planet, mail to chroniconuniverse@gmail.com.
  • If you'd like to use intelligent alien species, use the list of species, don't make up your own.
  • Use the list of technology to learn more about the Technology used. If you have a cool concept, submit it to chroniconuniverse@gmail.com.
  • Use the list of technology to learn more about the Space Ships used. If you have a cool concept, submit it to chroniconuniverse@gmail.com.
  • If you don't know what names to use for your alien characters, check the List of Chancellors for ideas.
  • If you choose to use a Planet or Solar System that was used in another project, please make yourself familiar with that project before starting your own. Each page on this wiki that is about a location has a list of canon projects in it that used that location.
  • Credit this website in your work.

Physics

Chronicon is semi-Hard Science Fiction, here and there the scientific rules are bent to allow for better storytelling. This means:

  • Faster-Than-Light travel is possible using Alcubierre's principle, but not faster than four times the speed of light (The Tethers are there for a reason). For more information, check: Celerity Engine.
  • To use Science Fiction's version of Artificial Gravity, we had to bend the rules a little. Therefore you can use Saburium's unique properties to explain it.
  • No Superpowers, except if they can be scientifically explained.
  • No Sound in the vacuum of Space (One exception to this rule is SoundSim).
  • Asteroid belts are not tightly packed with Asteroids. If you'd like to use that effect, use Planetary Rings or debris fields instead.
  • There is a lot of nothing in Space.
